Solid Food looks to cultivate an intimate and personalized experience. In many traditional and self-publishing houses, your work is often whisked away, where book design, cover art, and even word count is determined without your input. At Solid Food, we feel that these processes are as important to the writer as the act of writing itself, and we aim to work closely and prayerfully with you as we partner in bringing the gospel to the world through literature.
EDITING

We offer a variety of editing services, ranging from developmental editing, to copyediting, to proofreading. We want to help you polish your work, not make it unrecognizable.
Developmental Editing : focuses on the big picture; looks at pacing, plot, thematic consistency, overall structure, setting, and characterization
Copy Editing: focuses on fine-tuning and refining; looks at sentence structure, word choice, tone, tense, coherency, and fact-checking (if necessary). Includes two passes through the work.
Proofreading ($8 per poem): typically the final clean-up; focuses on basic grammar, punctuation, spelling, and any final errors. Includes two passes through the work.
Copy Editing & Proofreading ($15 per poem): Includes three rounds of editing - two passes of copy editing, plus a round of proofreading.
