Emergence

As winters barren brown surrenders to green,

Spring ushers in a transformative scene.

Easter is a time of growth and reflection,

Praising Jesuss holy resurrection.

His willing sacrifice up on the cross

Redeemed our souls from existing in loss.

His body was entombed inside a cave,

The silent chamber, the Messiahs grave.

After the darkness asserted its say,

The entrance was open, the stone rolled away,

Then Jesus emerged, to the faithfuls delight,

To proclaim the gospel and spread the Lords light.

Before He ascended, He took forty days

To teach and to guide, to show them the way,

Revealing how, through faith and through prayer

Victory achieved over death and despair.

Like a chick emerging from an eggshell,

Christians emerge from the darkness as well

Into the daylight provided by Christ,

Guided by His loving sacrifice.
